A major phase of I. O. C. C’s 1957 winter programme has been the Wabush Lake Project. Ron Harvey wrote a song called A Tribute To Wabush. Alex Poole writes a letter to Battle Harbour Hospital. Alex Poole was born in Deep Water Crik. Brent Chaulk was showing Them Days to James Andersen. Sidney Jonas Palliser was born October 26, 1931. John O. Heard was going back to school. Barbara Heard Crawford wrote a poem “Nump”. Howard Lethbridge went to the country with his father. In 1951 the Foundation Maritime Company had done some dredging of the Narrows of Goose Bay. The Ode To Labrador is a poem by Dr, Harry L.  Paddon. Joan Stedman says Trepassey ‘set off’ for Hebron the last time. Mildred Parsons  knew a little of Labrador from her sisters who taught there. Caroline Jacque knew the girls from Postville, The Perraults. Maude Andersen’s mom knew Jessie Morgan from Clarke’s Beach, Nfld. Jacko Kajautsiak grew up in Aulatsevik. Samuel King Hutton says Harmony Boat was ready to leave us.
