An Eskimo Patriot is an issue written by a journalist named Lacey Amy about John Shiwak of Rigolet. For almost two centuries, people of Carbonear fished on the coast of Labrador each summer. Henry Homfeld worked as a Cooper for three years 1875-78. Viann Pardy was born in Partridge Bay, Labrador, her parents are Millie (Hopkins) and Amos Roberts. Beautiful Stars and lights in the sky John Michelin had died in his sleep just before that, lost a son of Labrador. Wilfred T. Grenfell says they wanted to start up a store in England.
